Long Island Kids Learn "How to Become an Entomologist!"

(Port Jefferson and Hauppauge, NY, July 27th and August 2nd ,2011)

The kids were the ones swarming trying to get a look at the bugs Suburban Exterminating Co., Inc. (879 W. JERICHO TURNPIKE, SMITHTOWN, NY) showcased. These insects included a tarantula and some Madagascar roaches. However, the biggest hit was probably our office dog – Bradley. The kids loved our little beagle and gathered around to pet him.

At the Port Jefferson Free Library and Hauppauge Public Library, Suburban entomologists gathered to show kids specific insect characteristics and survival techniques. This group of kids was so interactive – asking questions, listening intently, and participating in demonstrations. It will be fun to see how the rest of the library visits pan out!

Be on the lookout for visit to a library near you! We’re coming to the Northport Public Library, and the South Huntington Library. In the meantime, if you have any questions concerning your own pests, don’t hesitate to call Suburban Exterminating at (516) or (631) 864-6900 for a free estimate!
